Ooops!!

So I was supposed to keep this thing updated a little more regularly, since I told people I would. I guess I assumed that more people would be reading it. Maybe they are and I just don't know about it. I feel like I need to make a commitment to update a couple times a week, just like I was supposed to make a commitment to monitor my blood pressure since Izzy was born. Yikes! That hasn't gone as planned. Lets just hope the doc is OK with that.

We went to the home show yesterday. It stunk! For the amount of money you had to pay to get in, we certainly did not get enough ideas or see enough companies that we would have liked to talk to. Since we are doing some major updates to the house we thought we would get some really good ideas out of going there. We also thought we would find some more companies that could give us some quotes on work we need done that we really can't do ourselves. Well...NEGATIVE. There were a ton of window, landscaping, and hot tub places. In fact there was a hot tub so big I am not sure that it could fit on our deck. Not to mention the fact that it must have been six foot deep. I was very disappointed. But on the plus side, we went to the Dinosaur BBQ afterwards and that was just fabulous.

We did recently get a quote on having the bathtub refinished. I feel as though the price is negotiable, Matt does not. How do you suggest going about convincing your loved one that it doesn't hurt to ask if they are willing to negotiate a deal? And how would you negotiate once you sit down and talk to the people wanting to do the work?

Girls' Day

Yesterday was awesome! It was filled with old friends visiting, chatting, laughing, and oh so much more. Some happy news and sad news was shared, but it was so nice to reconnect with those people that you don't get to see too often. It somewhat reminded me of years back when we would be together, one, if not both nights on the weekend going out. In a way I was wishing that we could all go out and go crazy like we used to and then I quickly reminded myself of what a PITA bars are when they are filled with drunk 20-something idiots. Now I am glad that I am one of those boring homebodies that goes out to dinner at like 6 or 7 and then goes home to watch a movie followed quickly by bed.

What do you do when you are the only one not snoring???

I have been up since 6am this morning. Now I know that that is not incredibly early, by any means. But when you have two days to sleep in, getting up at the same time you always do just STINKS. And not getting a very good nights sleep just adds to it all.

Matt has had a cold all week and has been snoring loud enough that I am surprised the neighbors haven't called. Even after being kicked out of bed and sent to the guest room, he still woke me up. He so nicely passed the cold on to me and Isabella. So when he is not snoring, I can hear Izzy through the monitor breathing heavily and coughing. Poor baby! It is not very easy to sleep when your little four month old can't breathe too well. And in between the heavy breathing over the monitor and the snoring from the hubby, I have a dog that must be chasing something in her dreams because she is making noises while she sleeps too. So when the whole house is asleep making their own noises, what do you do ?? The only thing left to do...make a pot of coffee and watch re-runs of 90210. Man, I used to love that show! I know you all did too. So tell me, who was your favorite character??

69 Hot Pink Holes

If you would like to know the meaning of this, this is what you need to do:

1- Go to your TV
2- Turn it on
3- If you have a guide channel, stroll through
4- When you get to the movie section, you might just see what I am talking about

When deciding what to do tonight, Matt and I though that maybe we would rent a movie. Oh yeah, this was one of the choices. So was Hot Asian MILFs. Needless to say, we ended up watching Supernanny.

Gosh darn it...I just realized I missed yesterday

So this blogging everyday thing is not going as wel as I would have liked. I have missed I think five or six days now. I missed yesterday's post because, well, I thought I had already done one. But luckily since I can count on one hand the number of people that read this blog I feel OK about it, because I know they won't hold it against me.

I was much more productive today than I have been the past couple days. Man I feel good when I get something done. Now, I just have to finish the couple things that I started and I will feel so much better. I will be able to go to my parents for Thanksgiving feeling that the house is clean and organized enough that I could have guests over. But I have been having guests over since it became disorganized so I must not feel too bad about the state that the house is in.

Can I just say that I can't believe how many things I can do with a baby in tow. I have become very good at typing with a baby laying on my shoulder. In fact right now, Izzy is laying on my chest sleeping as I type this blog. Often I have to type one handed and I am becoming faster and faster at that each time that I do it. I can fold laundry while holding the baby too. The clothes don't look as nice and I end up refolding them later. Of course making a bottle one handed is an absolute necessity. Can I just say, I love being a mom!

Yes...I will be one of those parents

When you become a parent, you have your camera ready at a moments notice to take all sorts of pictures. Sometimes you dress your child in what I am sure will be embarrassing pictures when they bring their first date home. But, I don't care, I love taking pictures of her because she is so darn cute. Here are a couple pictures that have been taken in the last week for one reason or another.(Captions courtesy of Miss Izzy)

I can now hold my own bottle

I can hold my head up. My daddy looks a little worried, but I know what I am doing.

My furry sister loves me A LOT. She always makes sure that I am doing well. I can't wait to pull her ears when I grow up.

This is my new snow suit. It is WAY too big for me now but my mommy couldn't resist but put me in it for a photo opt. Remind me to have her burn this picture when I am a teenager.

Let sleeping dogs lie...

I love watching my dog sleep. I especially love watching her sleep when she is dreaming. I wonder what she is dreaming about? Her legs move, her eyes twitch, her lips flap, and she often makes weird noises. It must be something fun or scary, I'm not sure which. Here is a demonstration(minus the weird noises since I forgot to turn the TV down). What do you think she is dreaming about?

Who can resist such a cute sleeping dog? Not me!

Edit: this may possibly be the last video I post since I have been waiting over 30 minutes for it to finish loading(and it is only a thirty second clip)...hope I don't miss my post today for NaBloPoMo
